Orange Shirt Day – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
On September 30, we come together to recognize Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This day honours the children who were sent to residential schools, those who never returned, and the survivors who live with the legacy of these institutions. It is a day of remembrance, learning, and deep reflection, as well as a call to action for all Canadians to continue supporting reconciliation.
