Latest Census Report Reveals Linguistic Characteristics of Canadians
Canada is more linguistically diverse than ever according to the latest 2011 census released by Statistics Canada this week.
Eight immigrant languages showed growth of more than 30%. Tagalog is the fastest growing language in Canada. The other fast growing languages are: Mandarin (+50%), Arabic (+47%), Hindi (+44%), Creole languages (+42%), Bengali (+40%), Persian (+33%), and Spanish (+32%).
