Wintranslation’s CEO, Huiping Zhang, was invited to speak at the national conference of the Canadian Language Industry Association (CLIA) which took place virtually in May 2022. The panel presentation, titled Indigenous Languages: Current Challenges and Opportunities in the Language Industry, focused on a range of issues relevant to the industry, such as training, recruitment, growth, and development of Indigenous linguists. Huiping’s co-panelists were Scott Patles-Richardson, co-owner of Nations Translation Group, and Nathalie Laliberté, VP of the Translation Bureau. This video is an excerpt of the session highlighting Huiping’s contributions to what was an interesting and enlightening discussion.
