I have done translations for wintranslation for about 2-3 years. I have been a translator and interpreter for most of my life. Now that I am retired wintranslation is there to keep me going. I like doing work for winstranslation because of the challenges. It keeps my mind alert and brings back some of the words I had forgotten. I also like the payment part. They usually pay when I request payment earlier than scheduled. I don’t have to wait 4-6 weeks for payment. Translation and interpretation is my way of giving voice to those who cannot speak a different language. To me that is an honor. I am very proud of the fact that I can do this. winstranslation gives that chance.

I am an Inuk (Eskimo) translator from Nunavut, and I translate documents to my dialect. I approached wintranslation because I needed a series of Educational Posters translated into Swampy Cree to facilitate a broader reach to our Indigenous audience. Wintranslation made the process easy even when I was unable to communicate regularly. I really appreciated their quick turn around times (faster than quoted) and their patience with my questions about the translation (not having any background with the language). The end result are some fabulous resources that will be shared with kids and adults alike, with more to come!

We contacted wintranslation to have one of our assessment documents translated into Eastern Ojibwe. The communication was easy and the translation was delivered with attention to detail and care.
