Project Description
Wintranslation has helped with the translation for Adjudication Secretariat first on request of one of the governmental agencies (for Inuktitut) and then directly (for Woodland Cree and Eastern James Bay Cree). The scripts were written for communication with the applicants for compensation under the Independent Assessment Process (IAP). IAP was set up in 2007 under the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement to compensate former students who suffered sexual, physical or emotional abuse at Indian Residential Schools.
