Our Story
Wintranslation was founded in 1998 by Huiping Zhang. After arriving in Canada as an international student and completing her master’s, she coordinated interpretation and translation for a non-profit supporting newcomers. The experience revealed the incredible diversity of languages, dialects, and cultures that shape meaningful and impactful communications, sparking her entrepreneurial spirit and the idea for wintranslation.
From the start, it’s been about more than words. It’s about understanding client needs, subject matter, and cultural context, and matching every project with the right skills and people. Many clients have stayed with us for well over 15 years, reflecting the trust and relationships we’ve earned.
