Adam Stone, PhD

Adam Stone is the Indigenous language lead at wintranslation, responsible for building and safeguarding Indigenous language expertise, strengthening its Indigenous translator and community networks, and establishing the company as a leader in Indigenous language services.

Adam holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from Carleton University and a completed Post-Doctoral Fellowship focusing on language revitalization from the University of Victoria. He is passionate about linguistic diversity and driven to support the language rights of Indigenous, marginalized, and minority communities. Based in Ottawa, Adam is experienced and published in both linguistic and geospatial research, has previously worked in both academic and nonprofit sectors, and enjoys learning languages in his spare time.
